600+

founders we work with
each year at build3

A product can work perfectly and still be something nobody wants.

We work with 600+ founders a year at build3. We see ideas stall while founders look for a developer, hire a team or try to build everything at once.

Build by Friday gets that first product built. We help you choose what matters, build it with you, and get it ready for customers to try.

You can start testing demand, asking for feedback and finding your first paying customers.

Meet the people behind Build by Friday

Who should
build it?

It depends on your budget, your time and how much you already know about the product.

Freelancer

A specialist for a clear brief.

Useful when you know exactly what needs building. You usually own the brief, coordination and product decisions.

Agency

A team for a larger scope.

A good fit for a defined project with a larger budget. Before you commit, clarify who owns product decisions and how quickly you can test with users. One founder we met was quoted ₹4 to 6 lakh for a first version of a comparable product.

Hiring

An investment for the long run.

Build an in-house team when you need ongoing capacity. Recruiting and salaries are a bigger commitment while you are still testing the idea.

Do it yourself with AI

Fast tools. Your time.

A useful route if you have the time to build and learn. Scope, testing, security and maintenance still need someone to own them.

Build directly
with our team.

You work directly with the person building your product. A second team member tests it before handover.

We decide what to build together. You try it as we go and keep the code and accounts.

The people you’ll build with
The important part is choosing.

We define the product
before we build it.

We start with who it’s for and what they need to do. Together, we choose the features for the first version and write down how we’ll test them. Then we build.

A useful starting point

One page.
Before a line of code.

Three days to decide.
Seven days to build.

The build takes seven days once the scope is locked. Deciding what to build happens before that, and it is where most projects are won or lost.

DefineDays 1 to 3
  1. Day 1

    Brief and discovery call

You complete the project brief. We talk through fit: yes, a narrower first version, or an honest no.

  2. Day 2

    Your product brief, our template

A first advance is paid. You write the basic brief using our template and short video guide. No technical language needed.

  3. Day 3

    Working session and team brainstorm

Two to three hours with your lead to fix screens, flow, data and technical choices. The whole team weighs in once. Scope is locked in writing.

BuildDays 4 to 10
  1. Day 4

    Kickoff and setup

Accounts, repository, deployment and the skeleton of the product, in your name from the start.

  2. Days 5 and 6

    The core journey

The one flow that matters gets built first. You try it daily and answer questions as they come up.

  3. Day 7

    Structured review

A second team member tests the agreed flow with fresh eyes. We fix and adjust before adding anything else.

  4. Days 8 and 9

    Edges and integrations

Errors, empty states, permissions, the connections you need, and deployment preparation.

  5. Day 10

    Acceptance test and handover

We walk the acceptance checklist together, then transfer code, access and documentation. The engagement closes.

  6. After

    Yours to continue

Take it forward yourself, with another team, or book a separate Powerup with us. No lingering support queue.

Calendar days depend on your availability and travel. Build days are consecutive once they start. One lead per project. One project at a time for that lead.
Why Goa?

Fewer handoffs.
More time at the same table.

Our core format is an onsite sprint. When a question about your business comes up, the person who knows the answer is in the room, so the product gets better every day instead of every fortnight. If Goa is difficult, tell us before committing and we’ll discuss options.

Travel and accommodation are separate.

One agreed first version,
priced before we start.

₹50,000

Base cash fee for one agreed first version, plus an upside you propose: equity or revenue share, agreed together after discovery.

₹25,000Before product definition begins

₹25,000After scope is locked, before build day one

Start your project brief

One accountable lead per sprint. Scope and availability agreed before you commit.

What you leave with

  • A written scope and acceptance checklist
  • A working first version of the agreed flow, deployed
  • Product design, development and testing by a named lead
  • An independent review before handover
  • Source code, deployment access and documentation in your accounts

Applicable taxes, third-party costs and the upside arrangement are confirmed in writing before you commit.

Make us an offer

You propose the upside.

Alongside the ₹50,000 base fee, propose equity or revenue share that makes sense for your company. There is no fixed percentage. We discuss the idea, the scope and your offer after discovery, and agree the full arrangement in writing before you commit.

After the first build

Further features, fixes and maintenance are bought as a Powerup: a separate build day or sprint with its own start and end, quoted before work begins. You can also take the code to any other team. Enterprise scale and unlimited support are not part of the first build.

Our stories and credentials
Before you decide

A few fair
questions.

Ask us something else
Can you really build my idea in seven days?

Only if we can agree a first version that fits. We review your brief before accepting the project, and the actual dates are agreed with you. A large roadmap usually needs a smaller first step. If it can’t produce something useful in a week, we say so instead of stretching the promise.

Do I need to be technical, or write a technical brief?

No. You need to explain who will use it and what they need to do. We give you a template and a short video, then work through screens, data and technical choices with you in a working session before building.

Is the result ready for customers, or just a mockup?

A working, deployed first version of the agreed flow, tested against a checklist we write together: the flows, the devices and browsers, the expected number of users, and the known limits. It is built to be used and learned from, not to promise enterprise scale.

What if something breaks after handover?

Before the sprint, we agree in writing what counts as a defect against the acceptance checklist and how it is handled. New features and further work are scoped and priced separately as a Powerup. You always keep the code and accounts, so you are never locked in.

How much equity or revenue share do you take?

There is no fixed percentage. After discovery you propose what feels fair for your company and stage, and we decide whether to take the project on. The ₹50,000 base fee is separate and standard.

Do I have to come to Goa?

Onsite is our preferred format because it removes waiting and produces a better product. If it is genuinely difficult, raise it before committing and we will discuss a workable arrangement. Travel and stay are not included.

What would you
like built?

Tell us who it’s for, what the first version must do and where you’re starting. We read every brief and reply with a straight answer: yes, a narrower first step, or not a fit.

Start your project brief

Allow 10 to 15 minutes. Opens our intake form in a new tab. A rough idea is a good place to start.

We’ll send the ten-day breakdown and how the fee works.

Public sample / fictional project

A booking product.
One clear first version.

Who is it for?
Founders looking for a short conversation with a product expert.
What should they be able to do?
View a small expert directory, choose an available time and request a session. The operator can review and confirm the request.
What are we trying to learn?
Will people request sessions, and can the operator fulfil them?
What is deliberately left out?
Subscriptions, automated payouts, ratings and recommendation algorithms. Handle matching and confirmations manually first.
What needs deciding before building?
Who supplies expert profiles, how availability is kept accurate, which notifications are needed and what data may be collected.
How do we know the flow works?
A test visitor can submit one valid request. The operator can find its details and record confirmation. Invalid inputs show clear errors; access and duplicate handling are checked against the agreed scope.

A starting example, not a complete technical specification or a fixed-price commitment.

Your information.

We measure how this site is used, so we can tell who is genuinely interested and reply properly. This is our own first-party measurement — no advertising networks, no data sold or shared with anyone.

What we record. The pages you open and for how long, how far you scroll, what you click, which sections you linger on, text you copy, where your cursor moves on the page, your approximate city, the network or company your connection belongs to, your browser, device, screen, timezone and language, and the link or site that sent you here. We store an identifier on this device, in cookies and in browser storage, for two years, and a technical fingerprint of the device so we still recognise you if that storage is cleared. We never record what you type, apart from an email address you choose to submit.

How we know your name. If you arrived from a link we sent you, that link identifies you. Emails we send may contain a small image that records when the message was opened. If you give us your email address here or in the project brief, we connect it to the visits you made before that, including the anonymous ones.

The project brief opens Typeform, where the provider’s privacy terms also apply. Email links open your email app; nothing is sent automatically.

You can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, or have all of it deleted, by writing to hello@buildbyfriday.com. We delete it in full, and you do not have to give a reason.
